SPECIAL NEEDS PETS: From time to time we have “Special Needs Pets” that need either a “forever” home or maybe even a temporary “foster” home. Some of these pets may be blind, recuperating from a surgery, be needing to be bottle fed like tiny kittens or puppies or have other needs or handicaps.  These are usually sweet, loving and grateful pets that just need a chance. Contact us at (307) 883-PETS, info@ahasv.org or stop by the shelter on Saturdays and talk with one of our Directors if you would like to help out. Some animals do not do well in captivity and just need to be in a home setting.

ADOPTION DAYS
We are located 2 ½ miles south of Thayne on Hwy. 89, turn East on Strawberry Creek Road, go one mile to the entrance of the Thayne Landfill on the north side of the road. We hold Adoption Days every Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Sorry, because we are always short handed, at this time we are not open any other days. Thank you for your patience and understanding. You can always leave a message at (307) 883-PETS and one of our volunteers will get back to you as soon as possible.



“Leash Cutting” Grand Opening was held on October 25, 2008. AHA Volunteers and the animals thank the whole community for their wonderful support for this much needed 1st of it’s kind in Lincoln County facility.

PET-E-CASH CLUB
We will be taking donations on handcrafted items that have been made by the AHA-SV PET-E-CASH Club volunteers. 100% of all proceeds from the donations will go for the care, vet bills, spay-neutering, buying carriers, promotion of the animals and any other needs for the animals.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!                      
We are constantly looking for new volunteers to help with raising money, fostering pets, donating items, helpers to make items via the PET-E-CASH Club.  Your assistance is greatly appreciated.  Get on board.  The animals need you! See the Foster Program page under forms.

SUPPORT A BUDDY CLUB
If you are not able to volunteer, foster or adopt a pet at this time you could join our "Support a Buddy Club".  For a $25 donation we will send you the picture of "your animal". 

You could select a dog or a cat and the name if you know it.  We cangive you monthly reports on how that pet is doing and if and when we find a "forever" home for him or her.  When that happy event occurs we will give you another pet to help.
