How you can help the Animal Humane Association of Star Valley  
  LUCKY’S PLACE:  We are in the process of building a shelter at the Thayne Landfill on Strawberry Rd. to Bedford.   Ground was broken on 6-16-08.    We still need approximately $90,000 in funds to complete the building so we are doing everything we can to stir up donations.  Any ideas or suggestions on ways to raise money are sincerely appreciated.  Call 883-PETS or respond to info@ahasv.org or talk with any AHA Board Director (look under Contacts on our home page).
 
You can buy an “IRA” (Immediate Relief for the Animals) for $2,000 to $ 5,000 or more and will receive a plaque for the donation in the lobby.  E-mail Bob Haunschild HAUNSBD@aol.com or Ron Ahrens rens355@silverstar.com or call 883-4114 for info

You can donate other amounts to:
Buy a stainless steel dog cage   $1,000.
Buy a stainless steel cat cage    $   500.
These larger donations will also receive plaques commerating a pet/person or event
 
We will also be selling ceramic tiles for a memory wall (like the National Wildlife Museum in Jackson has) engraved for the memory of a beloved pet for $100 each.
 
Donations in any amount will be gratefully accepted.  The needs of the animals are great.  You can make a difference!. 
 
It has taken us well over 4 years to see this shelter become a reality.  Up until now we have placed over 1000 homeless pets out of our foster home network with caregivers fostering as many as 15-30 pets in their own homes.  The shelter named Lucky’s Place will give immediate relief of that strain and allow us to assist more abused & unwanted pets find “forever” homes.  It will be a “no kill” shelter so we will still need some foster homes for what we call our “hospice pets” so they can be taken care of if we can not find them a home of their own.  Lucky’s Place is named after a beloved pet and it honors our first benefactor who helped get this all started.

Join the "PET-E-CASH" CLUB
A Club Of Volunteers Supporting The Animal Humane Association Of Star Valley (AHA-SV)
We make "ADOPT ME" scarves for the pets to wear at Adoption Days, cards, pet beds and treats to be sold at events. We are always open to new creative suggestions.
Help out, it's fun.

This is a project creates crafts to raise funds outside of the other funds that AHA-SV raises through donations, raffles, membership dues, and grants.

1. Newspaper ads: for events and individual “pet of the week” spots. We have no advertising budget right now!

2. Signs: We need other identifying signs so we can be seen at events. Does anyone know a professional sign painter who could donate all or part of the signage we need?

3. Cardboard Cat Carriers: to be sold at cost to new cat owners so they can get their kitties home safely.

4. AHA-SV T-Shirts: We will design and produce AHA-SV T-shirts, sweatshirts and hats that will be sold at AHA-SV events and on the website.

5. Various: other items or supplies as they come up.
